chat keeps one conversation open in the terminal. Each line typed is one turn on it, the reply is printed, and the prompt comes back. Without a name, it talks to the project’s agent, the running dev’s with --local. /exit, /quit, Ctrl-C or Ctrl-D leave, and on the way out chat prints the command that resumes the conversation. /new starts another. The conversation’s memory profile is its own name, the session-<id>. chat needs a terminal and takes no --json.
