Targets give an instance its capabilities. Each kind has its own endpoint:
  • Models share one OpenAI-compatible API at {gateway_url}/v1. The request’s model selects the model.
  • Tools from every MCP server and REST API added to the instance are combined into one MCP server at {gateway_url}/mcp.
  • Agents Planned each have a path at {gateway_url}/a2a/{agent}, over agent-to-agent (A2A), and the instance forwards their requests.
The instance authenticates to each MCP server and API by the outbound authentication method set on it. The models are Telnyx-hosted and need no credentials. Allow lists limit the models a key may use, and tool permissions limit its tools and agents.
