# Virtual Private Cloud

A Virtual Private Cloud logically isolates the user's compute, storage, and networking resources in Telnyx. At its core is a *Network*, the user's virtual routing and forwarding (VRF) domain.

The *Network* also extends to the networks the user runs outside Telnyx via a set of connection primitives. The end result is a single routing domain over the user's Telnyx VPC and their existing networks.

Virtual Private Cloud comprises the following components.

| Component | Description |
| - | - |
| [Network](https://developers.telnyx.com/docs/network/overview.md) | Create a VRF in Telnyx and define its routes. Resources on it stay isolated from every other *Network*. |
| [WireGuard Interface](https://developers.telnyx.com/docs/network/wireguard-interfaces.md) | Connect any host, site, or cloud to the *Network* over WireGuard. Peers reach the *Network* without opening an inbound firewall port. |
| [Tunnel](https://developers.telnyx.com/docs/network/tunnel.md) | Run a tunnel process on a host within the user's network. Hosts behind the tunnel become reachable from the *Network* without any modification to its router or firewall. |
| [Tailscale Subnet Router](https://developers.telnyx.com/docs/network/tailscale-subnet-router.md) | Join the *Network* to the user's Tailscale network through a router Telnyx runs. Devices already on the tailnet reach the *Network*, with nothing new to install. |
| [Virtual Cross Connect](https://developers.telnyx.com/docs/network/vxc/intro.md) | Connect the *Network* to AWS, Google Cloud, and Azure through each provider's direct connection service. Cloud VPCs and the *Network* exchange traffic without traversing the public internet. |
