# unset

`unset <path>` removes one field of `agent.json`, back to its default, with the same validation as [set](/docs/agents/cli/set). A block left empty is removed with it, and a field that was not set changes nothing. The next `deploy` ships the change, and a running `dev` reloads it, except the `web` fields, which the page reads as `dev` starts.
