# remove

```bash theme={null}
telnyx-acp remove phone +15550001234
telnyx-acp remove email
telnyx-acp remove web
telnyx-acp remove channel messaging_profile:<id>
telnyx-acp remove tool web_search
telnyx-acp remove tool deepwiki
telnyx-acp remove secret OPENAI_API_KEY
```

Each form edits `agent.json`. The next `deploy` applies the change, except for a secret, which is deleted from the platform at once.

| Form | Effect |
| - | - |
| `remove phone <number>` | Stops answering on the number. The next `deploy` puts it back where it was and deletes the application and profile `deploy` created for it. |
| `remove email` | Stops answering email. The next `deploy` removes the inbox and the webhook `deploy` created. |
| `remove web` | Stops serving the browser page on the next `deploy`. |
| `remove channel <artifact>:<id>` | Removes the artifact from the list, never the artifact itself. The next `deploy` restores its webhook. |
| `remove tool <name>` | Removes a tool entry: `web_search` by type, an MCP server by its name, an Agent Gateway by its instance id. |
| `remove secret <NAME>` | Deletes the secret from the account at once, which affects every agent bound to it; one already gone from the platform is unbound all the same. The next `deploy` drops the binding. |

`remove phone` followed by `deploy`, or [delete](/docs/agents/cli/delete), puts each webhook back where it pointed before, leaves alone one that something else repointed, deletes the artifacts `deploy` created and reports one it cannot clear (an application that had no webhook before the agent, whose API refuses a blank one), so a retired agent leaves nothing of the CLI's listening on a number.
