# isConnected()

> **isConnected**(): `boolean`

True after the current connection's `hello` arrives; false while the link is down and after `close()`.

**Returns**

`boolean`

## Across Reconnects

`isConnected()` returns `false` from the moment the link drops until the next connection's `hello`.
