# The Agent Client SDK

The Agent Client SDK ships in the runtime package as `@telnyx/edge-runtime/client`. Its main export is the `AgentClient` class. Anything outside an agent that reaches it, a browser page or a Node app, uses the client.

The client speaks the agent socket protocol to an instance's address; see [The Address and Transports](/docs/agent-sdk/contract/address-and-transports) for detail.
